Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center
Constructed to complement the famous San Antonio River Walk that hugs its perimeter, the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center is an architectural vision with hacienda-inspired archways and multicultural artwork, the most famous being the "Liquid Crystal" sculpture designed by London-based artist Jason Bruges. Following a recent $325 million expansion and renovation, the HBGCC now features a 1.7 million-square-foot footprint with 514,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, two ballrooms (including the largest in Texas), and more than 70 meeting rooms. The nearby area is brimming with iconic attractions, including the historic Alamo, the adjacent 2,319-seat Lila Cockrell Theater, the 750-foot-tall Tower of the Americas, and beautiful Hemisfair Park.

WHERE TO SLEEP
There are 3,000 hotel rooms within a block of the HBGCC.With more than 1,000 rooms, the Grand Hyatt San Antonio provides direct access to the venue, and the Marriott Riverwalk just across the street offers an additional 500 rooms. And if you're looking for boutique luxury, the award-winning Mokara Hotel and Spa is located merely four blocks away.

WHAT TO EAT
Lunch fare is abundant and diverse on the River Walk just outside of the HBGCC, though many locals head to nearby Schilo's Delicatessen for its popular German cuisine. Impress clients with dinner at the ultra-chic Restaurant Gwendolyn, or entertain large and small groups at Biga on the Banks, which boasts stellar reviews and a riverfront terrace.

HOW TO GET THERE
The San Antonio International Airport is located 8 miles from downtown, and a taxi ride to the venue costs approximately $27. The SuperShuttle provides service to downtown for $15 each way or $28 round trip (www.supershuttle.com), while Uber and Lyft rates start at about $15 for rides to the convention center. The HBGCC does not have parking, but nearby lots and garages charge $10 to $30 per day.

Texas is a right-to-work state, and union labor is not required. Event organizers may choose exclusive providers for work not performed by the venue's providers.

Exhibitors may hand-carry items through lobbies. Dollies, flatbeds, and mechanical devices are prohibited.

Exhibitors placing pallets or crates in venue dumpsters during move-in are subject to a fee.

Exhibitors must use the HBGCC's exclusive rigging provider, Audio Visual Services Group LLC (dba PSAV), for items weighing more than 250 pounds or requiring a motor.

Free Wi-Fi is accessible in public areas and available throughout the venue for a fee from the exclusive provider, Smart City Networks LLC.

The RK Culinary Group LLC is the facility's exclusive caterer, and no outside food or beverage can be served in the venue.

The HBGCC's business center is operated by The UPS Store, which provides printing, copying, and some drayage services.

The use or display of confetti, glitter, rice, or helium balloons is prohibited. Violators will be responsible for any labor and materials required for cleanup.

The San Antonio Police Department provides all security services for loading dock access during load-in/load-out, shuttle-busing access, overnight security, and events serving alcohol.
