GCCC Regional General Manager John R. Page Honored as Member of Power 100

COLUMBUS, OH - John R. Page, regional general manager of the ASM Global-managed Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC), has been selected by the editorial team of Columbus Business First as a member of the Columbus Business First 2023 Power 100. The Power 100 is an annual list compiled by Columbus Business First based upon their reporting, research, and conversations with Central Ohio’s civic and business leaders of those individuals who make projects happen, influence public policy, facilitate important connections, and impact the Central Ohio region through their ideas, creativity and leadership that have a significant impact upon the Central Ohio business scene. 
In their selection of Page, Columbus Business First noted that Page and the convention center is in the business of problem-solving and a key economic engine for the region. The convention center plays a key role in bringing in visitors into Columbus, which has taken on an increased importance since the hospitality recovery from the pandemic. A 25-year ASM Global veteran, Page was previously chosen in 2021 by Columbus Business First as a member of the Power 100. Along with management of the GCCC, Page oversees the Dayton Convention Center, Jekyll Island Convention Center, and Hampton Roads Convention Center in his role as Regional General Manager for ASM Global. Additionally, Page serves as a commissioner on the Ohio Expositions Commission, the governing body for the Ohio Expo Center and Ohio State Fair and is the board chair of The Ohio State University’s Hospitality Management advisory board. Page, a two-time graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in marketing and a master’s degree in sports management, has also previously been honored by Columbus Business First among the Most Admired Chief Operating Officers in Central Ohio, recognized as a Central Ohio Smart 50 Award recipient and as a Diversity Pioneer by the Central Ohio Champions of Diversity. “The Greater Columbus Convention Center continues to propel Columbus as the destination of choice for national meetings and conventions,” said Page. “This recognition from Columbus Business First is a true testament to the collaboration that has come to define Columbus and allowed for our success within the hospitality and travel industry.
