Oklahoma City Convention Center
The $288 million Oklahoma City Convention Center (OKCCC) opened in January 2021 and perfectly blends charm with modern amenities. The 500,000-square-foot venue includes a 200,730-square-foot exhibit floor divisible into four halls, a 29,874-square-foot ballroom, a 9,726-square-foot junior ballroom, and a terrace overlooking the Scissortail Park – a 70-acre urban oasis. With 23 meeting rooms and more than 65,000 square feet of pre-function space, OKCCC can accommodate a wide range of events. The new venue features glass walls that allow plenty of natural lighting, and "Virtual Sky," an LED light sculpture, evokes the beauty of Oklahoma's boundless skies.
WHERE TO SLEEP
Oklahoma City offers plenty of hotels at any price point. The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel and the Fairfield Inn & Suites are adjacent to the OKCCC, making them ideal for getting to and from the venue. If you're looking for a bed with a rich industrial heritage, check out the 21c Museum Hotel, which features a contemporary art museum.
WHAT TO EAT
The OKCCC hosts four permanent concession stands with contactless ordering. If you're looking to host an event with private dining, check out the Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse (named for Oklahoma's native son), which can host up to 75 people. Red PrimeSteak is about a mile from OKCCC, and it's ideal for larger events.
HOW TO GET THERE
Oklahoma City Convention Center is located a short 10 miles from Will Rogers World Airport. The average taxi fare will run visitors about $25, while ridesharing via Uber and Lyft start at about $18. Free public Wi-Fi in all public spaces. Oklahoma is a right-to-work state. The OKCCC is the exclusive provider of electrical, plumbing, telecommuting, advertising, and internet services. Encore is the venue's exclusive rigger. The decorator can hang aisle signs and signs under 100 pounds. Display vehicles must have a plastic drop cloth large enough to cover the entire undercarriage. Fuel cannot exceed a quarter of a tank. Permits are required for all display vehicles. Overnight parking of all private vehicles in the OKCCC loading dock is permitted.
