The Strongest Link
There are a lot of banner stands on the market, but they are not all created equal, especially when you are trying to use several together. The Link2 Roller Banner by Eve Products Ltd. takes a step beyond typical stands by integrating a leveling system and locking hardware that make banners used next to each other look virtually seamless. A curved tension bar on the top of the unit allows banners to move up and down to align with those next to it, and adjustable brackets on the base join stands together securely to eliminate gaps. LED lighting can be integrated into the top cap of the banner stand, and the banner can be swapped out easily by simply pushing in a locking pin and removing the graphics. Link2 comes in a padded carrying bag. Contact: Eve Products Ltd., Skipton, England, 44-1756-792972, www.eveproducts.com
Versatile Vinyl
Get the industrial look of diamond-tread flooring with the ease of peel and stick vinyl tiles with flooring from The Inside Track Inc. The semimatte patterned tiles – which are available in 12- and 24-inch squares – have received a trendy update with a dozen designer colors that lend themselves to any exhibit's desired aesthetic. The 95-millimeter-thick tiles offer superior skid resistance and effortless installation over any substrate, and the noise-dampening and foot-cushioning properties make them a popular choice for trade shows. Adhesive holds the reusable tiles in place but allows them to be repositioned when necessary. Contact: The Inside Track Inc., Atlanta, 888-806-7308, www.theinsidetrackinc.com
It's a Snap
Take the traditional photo-booth experience – and your trade show exhibit's popularity – to a whole new level when you give attendees an augmented-reality experience that they can control and share on their social-media channels. Snap AR from EnVu pairs innovative software and gesture-tracking hardware with in-booth touchscreen monitors, which exhibit visitors can then use to create a branded Polaroid-style photo. But before snapping the picture, participants can choose from digital themes as well as virtual props such as sunglasses or hats, which will track with the movements of the subject until the photo is taken. Pictures can include one person or a group of people, and exhibitors have their choice of background style and branding for the finished product, which attendees can send to themselves and share on Twitter.
