Fast Forward
The Leyard VVR series of indoor and outdoor LED video walls is designed for fast and frequent setup and teardown of hanging, wall-mounted, floor-mounted, and faceted installations. A combination of magnetic and quick-lock systems keeps the LED cabinets in place during install, meaning that some video walls can be set up by a single technician. Each approximately 20-by-20-inch cabinet contains four LED modules, which are available in pixel pitches ranging from 2.5 mm to 10.4 mm, and all electrical components are contained in a single compartment for simplified maintenance. The VVR series incorporates a rack-mounted video controller that supports resolutions of up to 2.3 million pixels and features user-friendly software. Emotional Intelligence
Event planners wanting to assess attendees' reactions to keynote addresses, sales presentations, and other assemblies often need to rely on post-event surveys that provide an incomplete picture. Datakalab's facial-recognition software, available in the United States through the Vibe Agency Inc., offers a scientific alternative. Video cameras positioned in front of the audience capture attendees' facial expressions during a presentation and monitor them for minute changes associated with seven emotional states. This footage is then analyzed by artificial-intelligence-powered software that generates a report indicating which parts of the presentation resonated – or fell flat – with attendees. Curve Appeal
Searching for a new reception desk, giveaway-distribution hub, or hospitality station? The Midtown Bar from Cort Events, a subsidiary of Cort Business Services Corp., rises to these occasions and more. Fabricated from pewter powder-coated metal and measuring 60 inches long, 42 inches high, and 18 inches deep, each unit features a glass countertop, two interior shelves, and a pair of locking cabinets. The design's curved front easily accommodates custom graphics and can be outfitted with optional four-color LED strips to highlight your company's logo or marketing messages. For added versatility, the Midtown Bar can be ordered with a countertop suite of three AC and two USB plugins.
