The Venetian Resort Las Vegas Unveils Plans for Full Convention Center Renovation

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is excited to announce the $188 million dollar renovation plans of its Convention Center, one of the largest meeting facilities in the world, set to be completed in stages between 2024-2026.

The stunning transformation of the space was reimagined by esteemed Las Vegas design firm Woogmaster Studio and is an integral part of the resort’s extensive 1-billion-dollar capital investment project. Meetings and events have been a foundation of the resort’s business from its inception nearly 25 years ago. Inspired by the needs of the property’s longstanding group guests, key design elements will include an elegant new color palette which presents an upscale departure from the traditional convention spaces, luxury lounge spaces for meetings, and innovative new technology that will lead sector for years to come.

“Embarking on a refresh of a convention center that hosts back-to-back events year in and year out is no easy task, but our promise is to provide our guests a best-in-class experience,” said Patrick Nichols, president and chief executive officer of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. “The finishes and amenities planned were thoughtfully curated based on feedback from our customers and will usher in a new era of Venetian Meetings and maintain our position at the forefront of the industry.”

Additional offerings will include elevated lounge-style spaces for all executives. A new speakeasy-style lounge will provide an opportunity to host invitation-only events in a 10,000 square foot, designed with rich woods, marble, velvet, and mirror symbolizing a romantic, layered, and modern take on the Venetian design of 1930s.

“Since inception, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas has led the landscape of meetings and conventions and remains at the forefront of this industry, so we’re thrilled to have this renovation elevate the property to yet another level to better serve our guests.” said Tony Yousfi, chief sales officer at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

The Convention Center will seamlessly integrate traditional architectural with contemporary design elements that result in a harmonious fusion of the resort’s rich heritage and modern sophistication. The interior will be adorned with a serene color palette of cream, white and platinum, accented by caramel upholstery and brilliant blue demark carpeting – all of which infuse a touch of vibrant energy. Classic silhouetted Murano glass chandeliers and streamlined brass sconces situated throughout set an interplay of ‘modernity in tradition’ while polished furnishings, rich embroideries, and antiques enliven the promenades with a bespoke level of layering, detail, and attention. Throughout the complex, a robust furnishing and fine art program will be complimented by improved lighting, audio visual updates, and thoughtfully integrated state-of-the-art digital screens and technology to create an even more powerful backdrop for meeting planners and events.
