Update: 3/17/20

In the past week, the COVID-19 crisis has exponentially evolved to levels that were not foreseen for the face-to-face marketing community and beyond.

During the weeks leading up to Friday, March 13, we communicated with those inquiring about the status of EXHIBITORLIVE that any one of the following three scenarios would cause us to postpone the show:

Federal officials creating restrictions on the event
Nevada, Clark County, or Las Vegas officials creating restrictions on the event
Mandalay Bay or MGM Resorts closing the building

We are committed to providing our community the chance to gather at a rescheduled EXHBITORLIVE later in 2020, conditioned on dates that come together for EXHIBITORLIVE and the venue, and we are working with multiple stakeholders to get that accomplished.

Our current plan is that all payments made for registrations, sponsorships, and exhibiting will be applied to this rescheduled event.

HOTEL UPDATE:

MGM Resorts has announced that it is temporarily closing its Las Vegas properties as of the end of day on Tuesday, March 17.

If you had a hotel reservation at an MGM Resort (Mandalay Bay, Delano, Luxor, and numerous others are included) between March 17 and April 1, MGM Resorts states that no action is necessary for cancellations. MGM Resorts states that cancellations will happen automatically, and you will receive an email notification with the details.

MGM Resorts suggests you visit www.mgmresorts.com for the latest information on the temporary closure or contact its call center at 855-788-6775.

Our face-to-face marketing community has experienced significant negative impacts over the past few weeks, impacts that have escalated in the last 48 hours and include corporate travels bans, government travel bans, venues being closed, public events and gatherings being banned, and partnerships being forced to cancel.

With great disappointment, we must announce the postponement of EXHIBITORLIVE.

The health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, partners, and staff is - and will always be - our top priority.

We have been closely monitoring the advice and counsel of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), and we've had conversations with numerous stakeholders in the face-to-face marketing community. Informed industry experts and insiders are in agreement with us that it is probable that due to forces beyond our control, EXHIBITORLIVE will be unable to happen in two weeks.

We are in conversations for a rescheduled date for EXHIBITORLIVE with a goal of a fall time frame.

Our community is hurting and filled with uncertainty. We want to assure you of our commitment to bringing our industry together again - safely - at our rescheduled EXHIBITORLIVE.

The health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, partners, and staff is our top priority.

Our team at EXHIBITORLIVE and our partners continue to monitor COVID-19 via the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We’re continuing to work with numerous stakeholders, including health agencies, venues, and suppliers, to stay on top of the latest information and guidance available and develop precautionary measures to further reduce health risks at the event.
We are taking action

EXHIBITORLIVE is proceeding as planned for a safe and successful show March 29 – April 2.

Our conference attendee registration numbers remain close to 2019 levels, with 20 fewer registrations than last year. We are pleased to report that new registrations outnumbered cancellations for the week of March 2nd. To date, there have been 23 attendee cancellations due to COVID-19, all but six of which were the result of corporate travel bans. Our exhibit-hall-only attendee registrations also outnumbered cancellations for the week by a ratio of 10:1 and currently sit at 180 fewer than 2019 figures at three weeks from the event.

Nearly all of our exhibitors are still planning to participate in EXHIBITORLIVE, and we expect an estimated 220 exhibitors on the show floor. Only two exhibitors have cancelled beyond exhibitors from countries where travel is prohibited. In spite of COVID-19, we have 3,000 people already registered from the face-to-face marketing industry — including 130 who did so just last week — ready to participate in educational sessions and the showcase of industry solutions in the exhibit hall.

At this time there are two reported cases in Clark County, and no health authorities have issued any travel notices, precautions, or guidance relating to travel to Las Vegas. According to the Southern Nevada Health District, southern Nevada and resort properties have not been identified as being at higher risk for disease transmission.

Again, please know that we will continue to monitor the situation and provide additional updates on Thursday, March 12; Monday, March 16; and at regular intervals leading up to the show opening.

Our team at EXHIBITORLIVE and our partners continue to monitor COVID-19 via the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We are actively working with numerous stakeholders, including health agencies, venues, and suppliers, We are taking action

to stay on top of the latest information and guidance available, and we will continue to develop precautionary measures to further reduce health risks at the event.

EXHIBITORLIVE is proceeding as planned for a safe and successful show March 29 – April 2.

We are pleased to report that our registration numbers continue to be on pace with previous years. To date there have been no attendee cancellations due to COVID-19, and our exhibitors are still planning to participate. The only exhibitors who have cancelled are international firms coming from areas where air travel has been restricted. We are expecting an estimated 225 exhibitors and nearly 5,000 attendees from the face-to-face marketing industry to participate in educational sessions and the showcase of industry solutions in the exhibit hall.

At this time, there are no reported cases of COVID-19 in Clark County or Nevada, and health authorities have not issued any travel notices related to Las Vegas. And according to the Southern Nevada Health District, resort properties have not been identified as being at higher risk for disease transmission.

Again, please know that we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed, and we look forward to seeing the industry come together once again for EXHIBITORLIVE.
