beMatrix Wins Big at EXHIBITORLIVE 2018
5/10/2018
beMatrix® USA was a big winner at this year’s EXHIBITORLIVE in Las Vegas, February 25-March 1, 2018 at Mandalay Bay.

beMatrix® showcased LEDskin®, the first integrated LED video panel that fits seamlessly within our award winning b62® exhibit building system. LEDskin® was awarded a BEST NEW PRODUCT AWARD at EXHIBITORLIVE 2018. beMatrix® was also awarded the BEST USE of TECHNOLOGY AWARD in the EXHIBITOR Magazine Portable Modular Awards for the extensive use of LEDskin® in the Euroshop Exhibit. LEDskin® was also an EXHIBITORLIVE Certified New Product and had already received a Red Dot Design Award from the German Design Museum, an IF Award, and a MASH Media EN Elite Award for 2017 Innovation of the Year. Introductions were made to the LEDskin® family at the show, with 2 new pixel pitches introduced, as well as the ability to make a virtually seamless inside or outside corner transition with video.

These newest innovations, as well as the rest of the b62® and 360° Solution products were on display and available for hands on demonstration in booth #1033. And, speaking of booth 1033, beMatrix® USA was also honored with the award for the BEST of SHOW, BEST BOOTH STAFF.

13 of the 43 finalists in EXHIBITOR Magazine’s Portable Modular Awards entered projects that were designed and created using The beMatrix® System. Designers love beMatrix®, beMatrix® loves designers, and the Judges love what they did together, as 5 of the 13 winners used beMatrix®. The EXHIBITOR Magazine Portable Modular Award Winners that used beMatrix® were:

beMatrix® USA was also selected, along with other member companies, to design and produce the exhibit for the Experiential Designers and Producers Association (Booth 645). In addition, over a dozen exhibits in the hall also used the beMatrix® system to design and construct their exhibits. Among them, the BEST of SHOW Winner in the Large Exhibit Category, a stunning two level exhibit by Exhibit Concepts, made extensive use of LEDskin® technology in their exhibit.

beMatrix® was proud to collaborate with Exhibitor Media Group to provide a huge LEDskin® video wall as part of the main stage in the ‘Connection Zone’, contributing to the networking enhancements they are adding the registration area to bring it to life. This venue was used for social and networking events throughout the week.

The first of those events was the annual Best of beMatrix® Awards Breakfast Monday morning. This is a networking opportunity and awards ceremony for our own design competition, held each year among our clients to showcase their creativity. We also work with the Exhibit Design Program at Bemidji State University each year to familiarize the students with our product. They are then given a set of objectives and a design brief to model an exhibit or retail venue using 70% of beMatrix®. These projects are judged and the winners are presented at the Awards Breakfast. The winners of this year’s Bemidji State competition were 1st place - Kadie Amiot, 2nd Place - Hannah Sernett, 3rd Place - Angela Gereri.

“Collaboration is one of the principles we at beMatrix® stand on, and we asked attendees to share with us the challenges that they would like to see addressed to make their efforts more effective. This makes beMatrix® technology a dependable partner in an ever-changing exhibit & event building sector, and has always been how we drive our innovation. And this year, we also drew from these submissions for a prize drawing,” said Robert Laarhoven, President, “2018 marks the 25th year exhibit builders have been able to construct exhibits using the modular ‘original frame system with big holes’, and so we had a drawing for $25 Casino Cheques, gift certificates, and a round trip airfare to beAcademy in the exhibit selected from the innovation suggestions submitted.”
