Experience Design -- What Makes Any Experience Truly Engaging?
Previously titled "Creating Innovative Exhibit and Event Experiences"

No framework concerning the design of experiences has been as studied by both academics and used by practitioners throughout the world as Jim Gilmore's model of "Four Realms of Experience." In this session, Jim will demonstrate how the most engaging experiences create Entertainment, Educational, Escapist, and Esthetic value-and share:
 •  How this "4E" model can be used as both a diagnostic tool and a design framework
 •  Core questions to ask to prompt more robust thinking about experience elements
 •  A technique for focusing design on the quintessential essence of any particular experience
CTSM Candidates with 5 or more years of experience may take this session in place of certain five-digit required sessions, with prior approval.
