Buyers Choice Awards
And the Winners Are...
Five New Product Showcase entries earned coveted Buyers Choice Awards at EXHIBITORLIVE at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Winners were chosen by a panel of attendee judges who reviewed all 16 products making their U.S. trade show debuts in the exhibit hall and scored them according to their degree of innovation and applicableness to face-to-face marketers' needs.
Out of the Box
Have you ever met a trade show marketer who wasn't looking for versatile exhibitry that also cut costs? Neither have we. This universal priority is no doubt why Aluvision Inc. developed the Omni Hi-LED Box, a unique hanging-sign system that can accommodate multiple inserts. Want a rigged element that combines backlit silicone-edge graphics and LED panels? No sweat. But what if you want your hanging sign at the next show to comprise all SEGs or hard infills? Piece of cake. That's because the Omni Hi-LED Box system features framing that accepts any combination of LED tiles, SEGs, and hard-panel graphics – which means less purchasing and fewer headaches for exhibitors. "The flexibility of this product is astounding," said one juror. "It's truly a one-and-done solution." Capable of managing lead capture, gamification, custom apps, websites, and other media within a single operating system on a locally hosted server, boothOS reduces exhibitors' dependance on on-site internet. Said one judge, "This accommodates the nature of trade shows, in that changes often need to be made at the last minute." In addition, content can be programmed to align with specific devices. For example, a quiz can be set to only run on tablets, while a marketing reel is directed to an exhibit's LED video wall. Today's attendees are just as likely to shrug off such exhibitry with a "Yeah, I've seen that before" indifference as they are to stop and engage. That's precisely why our judges loved MagicPainting, a new technology that allows exhibitors to convey their messages through displays that bring artworks to life. In essence, what appears to be a traditional painting, which can be rendered in any number of artistic styles, is in fact a high-res monitor capable of playing video content, animations, charts, photos, and more. This novel medium can be produced at practically any size and boasts plug-and-play functionality on the show floor. Jurors especially appreciated MagicPainting's versatility, with one saying "This could be used in any industry and any size of exhibit, and it's sure to attract attention." Feature options include beveled edges, electric channeling, and a sturdy wheeled storage case. Judges were indeed impressed with the tiles' strength and ease of handling, with one juror calling them "the quick and easy solution I've been looking for for months." All visual elements are synced, meaning that as a user slides the touchscreen over the rear monitors, the information and visuals on the front screen correspond to the content on the back screen. For example, a user could use the touchscreen to take a deep dive into a product's inner workings or interact with text and animations explaining a complex manufacturing process. Judges praised its novelty and futuristic vibes. "I've never seen anything like this," said one juror. Contact: Fast Effect, Royal Oak, MI, 248-591-4034, www.fasteffect.com
