Crowd Pleaser
The Crowd Mic system sidesteps the stumbles associated with answering audience members' questions during a large presentation by turning attendees' smartphones into wireless microphones. Comprising the 2-pound Atom device, which connects to a venue's audiovisual system and facilitates interactions with up to 1,000 attendees, and separate apps for participants and moderators, Crowd Mic enables audience members to text questions to the presenter or have their spoken questions broadcast on the room's speakers by talking into their smartphones. Meanwhile, the administrative app alerts moderators when audience members have questions, allows them to choose the next person to speak, and enables them to turn off an attendee mic at any time. Curve Appeal
Looking to add attention-grabbing elements to the entrance of your exhibit or the stage at your next corporate event? Stretch Shapes LLC's line of Event Arches creates an outsized presence with minimal setup. Available in six standard styles, including a 2-D, rainbow-shaped arc and a 3-D horseshoe "tunnel," Event Arches are made to order in practically any size imaginable. Sturdy aluminum framing bolts together for quick assembly, and pillowcase-style stretch-fabric skins create a taut, professional finish. Customers have their choice of more than a dozen colors of flame-retardant fabrics, as well as dye-sublimation printing of custom graphics. All arch styles can be easily augmented with lighting washes, and certain styles can function as projection surfaces for dynamic visual displays. Do the Twist
The Twist-3 and Twist-4 display cabinets make it easy to showcase your products in the best possible light while minimizing shipping and drayage costs. Made from heavy-duty plastic and measuring roughly 16 inches square, units features shelves capable of supporting up to 15 pounds, brandable Plexiglas window panels that can be added or removed as desired to create confined cubbies, and LED puck lights embedded in the underside of each shelf to illuminate the wares displayed below. Topping off at roughly 61 and 81 inches tall, respectively, Twist-3 and Twist-4 cabinets earn their name due to their ability to collapse and fit into a storage bag with no disassembly. Units are powered by a conventional electrical cord, and the LEDs are operated by an integrated switch. Contact: Orbus Exhibit and Display Group, Woodridge, IL, 630-226-1155, www.orbus.com
Wild Card
Make a memorable first impression – and ensure that your contact information doesn't get lost or accidentally thrown out when attendees sort through their swag bags – with Digital Business Cards, which essentially function as heavily branded microsites for your business. After texting a short keyword to a six-digit number or scanning a Quick Response code, prospects receive a link to your fully customized card. (Users capture the phone numbers of people who text their keywords and may also distribute their digital cards via text or email links.) Optimized for mobile and desktop viewing, cards can include images, text, and links to websites, social-media accounts, phone numbers, and maps. A download button enables recipients to quickly import all of your information to their contacts. What's more, digital cards can feature 30-second, 1-, or 2-minute videos promoting your company and/or up to a 60-second audio clip. The Missing Link
LiteLinks LED Light Bars are a modular solution for display and accent lighting featuring built-in diffusers that run to the end of each unit, resulting in a seamless glow between connections. Available in roughly 4- and 12-inch lengths as well as corner pieces, LiteLinks join together without soldering or separate connectors. Light-intensity options range from 3,000K to 5,000K, and integrated mounting magnets reduce setup time. Contact: Environmental Lights, San Diego, 888-880-1880, www.environmentallights.com
