It used to be that rental furniture was about as exciting as the Oscars — without the red-carpet coverage. And when it came to aesthetics, rental options ranked right up there with your Uncle Marty's Barcalounger. Over the past several years, however, rental furniture has undergone an evolution of sorts. Gone are the itchy fabrics in tired colors and the straight-laced forms that offered about as much cushion and comfort as a concrete curb.
