EXHIBITOR's Charles Pappas Named a Top 50 Attraction at Expo 2020 Dubai

Charles Pappas, EXHIBITOR Magazine Senior Writer and a leading world expo historian, has been named as one of the top 50 attractions at Expo 2020 Dubai, to be held October 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022. Expo 2020 Dubai will be the first World Expo ever hosted in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region. The theme of Connecting Minds, Creating the Future, aims to host a World Expo that inspires people by showcasing the best examples of collaboration, innovation and cooperation from around the world. 
"Being listed as the number 12 main Expo 2020 attraction came as a shock to me considering the size of the world’s fair itself," said Pappas. "My role in consulting with the Visitor Experience area has been that of a storyteller – the history of expo, and the way it touched lives and changed history. For 170 years, it brought us everything from the elevator to recorded music, TV to the touchscreen, even the concept of the future itself. It’s really about the power of the biggest exhibition of them all."

Visitors will have the opportunity to scan QR codes found in Majlis structures to hear stories from Pappas of UAE culture and fascinating World Expo facts. Pappas also serves as consultant for EXPO 2020’s department of Visitor Experience. "Expo is the pinnacle of face-to-face marketing," continued Pappas.
