Charles Pappas to Present Fireside Chats at EXHIBITORLIVE to Discuss How Trade Show Exhibiting Has Changed History

Charles Pappas, EXHIBITOR Magazine Senior Writer and author of Flying Cars, Zombie Dogs, and Robot Overlords, will present two Fireside Chats at EXHIBITORLIVE, The Professional Development Conference for Trade Show and Corporate Event Marketing, in Las Vegas, February 24-28, 2019. 
The Fireside Chats will highlight the way exhibiting has changed history - launching not only new products and technologies like the telephone and television, but also propelling voting machines, IMAX movies, Ferris Wheels, X-rays, Ouija boards, Corvettes, elevators, even the Statue of Liberty.
“Exhibiting brought us the world we know today,” said Pappas. “In fact, trade shows are where the future goes to be seen. Every time you plug your phone into a wall socket, flick on a TV, withdraw money from an ATM, lick an ice-cream cone, switch on a computer, ride an escalator, play a DVR, watch a movie about dinosaurs, get fingerprinted, or pop a tranquilizer, you're doing something that originated at a world's fair or trade expo,” Pappas contends. “And yet it’s invisible to most.” 
Pappas will host the Fireside Chats on Monday, February 25, at 2:00 pm; and again on Wednesday, February 27, at 11:00 am., in the EXHIBITORLIVE Meeting Point Lounge, sponsored by Event Architecture, booth #1853 in the Exhibit Hall at EXHIBITORLIVE.
