spinTouch Brings a New Level of Safety to In-Person Events with RapidScreen Temperature Screening Kiosks

As event cancelation has become the norm rather than the exception, spinTouch is providing businesses and organizers a way to move forward while keeping safety in the forefront. The release of the new RapidScreen temperature scanner kiosk offers a viable solution for hands-free automated screening. By providing an extra layer of security to employees, businesses, and event attendees, more events can continue as planned and re-instill confidence in local economies. The event industry has been one of the hardest hit industries since the beginning of the recent global pandemic. With no end to the pandemic in sight and no guarantees when daily life may return to normal, more businesses are eager to think outside the box and find ways to reignite events in a way that complies with local regulations and earns the trust of employees and attendees. The result is a hands-free, self-service, free standing kiosk that scans for temperature with a high accuracy in less than two seconds. By removing the need to touch the device, RapidScreen doesn’t promote the spread of germs that’s common with other devices. It also removes the risk placed on employees who would otherwise be tasked with manually screening attendees, as well as frees up human and material resources that would otherwise be reserved for screening procedures. spinTouch also included an optional facial recognition technology in the RapidScreen to detect mask usage, offering another layer of security for event attendees. Access controls built into the device can limit access to facilities if a user does not pass the fever or mask test, thereby reducing potential contact with healthy individuals and mitigating the spread of germs. The device also uses HIPAA privacy best practices to hide temperature readings, allow for remote AWS secure monitoring, and optional seamless integration with CDC questionnaires to further evaluate employees and guests on other potential risk factors. “We put a lot of thought into the user experience of current solutions and the gaps in defense they created,” says Hashemi. “We didn’t want to just create another temperature scanning device, but rather develop a solution that businesses and customers would feel comfortable using.
