The Raleigh Convention Center is a bustling hub for the culture, commerce, and technology that makes the Triangle one of the most admired and sought-after regions in the United States. The modern 500,000 square-foot facility includes a stunning granite lobby with dramatic windows and downtown views, an elegant 32,000-square-foot ballroom, and a massive 150,000-square-foot exhibit hall, all with outstanding tech amenities and award-winning cuisine.
Updates completed in 2023 include a full carpet replacement, painting, room finish upgrades, acoustic panel replacement. The wireless service and house sound system were upgraded in 2020. In 2024, we added a coffee shop to serve our in house events. We are currently in the design phase for a massive expansion, which will include 80,000 sq. ft. of flexible space and 30 additional meeting rooms.
The facility is largely credited with jumpstarting the revitalization of Downtown Raleigh by bringing a steady stream of international, national, and state visitation to the region. We have welcomed 5 million visitors since opening its doors in September 2008 and has contributed over $789 million in direct economic impact to the community.
With Red Hat Amphitheater and the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts only steps away, visitors enjoy conventions, meetings, concerts, and theater performances all within a three-block stretch in Downtown Raleigh. Its central location affords exhibitors and guests to enjoy internationally acclaimed restaurants, national award-winning museums, locally grown shops, and beloved community mainstays just steps away.
