Detroit’s Huntington Place is the 17th largest convention center in the United States. Formerly named Cobo Center, it received the largest naming rights contract in history for a convention venue and became the TCF Center in 2019 before being renamed Huntington Place in 2022. Nearby attractions include the Detroit Theater District (the second largest in the U.S.), the Detroit Riverwalk (voted Best Riverwalk in America three years in a row by “USA Today” readers), and Ford Field.
Huntington Place was recertified as LEED Gold in 2023 and revived the venue’s Green Events offering that has resulted in 16 tons of post-event material donations to local nonprofits. The venue won the 2020 USGBC Leadership Award for Building Performance, making it the only convention center in the world to receive it. Huntington Place is owned by the Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority (DRCFA) and operated by ASM Global.
