Graphics Boot Camp: The Basics Every Event Manager Should Know
Not all graphics are created equal—and neither is their impact. Improve your knowledge of this important subject during this session, which covers the basics of graphic design and production with a specific focus on trade shows and events.
Learning Objectives:
•  Master the essentials of graphic production for effective visual communication.
•  Control the graphic production process and manage internal customer expectations and needs.
•  Grasp the basics of environmental graphics and their role in creating engaging spaces.
•  Integrate key messages into graphic designs to enhance communication effectiveness.
•  Plan and assess the budgetary impact of graphic production to optimize resource allocation.
•  Structure messaging hierarchy to prioritize and convey information clearly.
•  Employ alternative graphic delivery mechanisms to diversify presentation and reach.


One of the 23 required sessions approved as part of CTSM, the industry's only university-affiliated certification program.

Brian Baker, Vice President, Highmark TechSystems
Brian Baker has over 25 years of Event industry experience, and is one of its most prominent creative leaders. EDPA's Designer of the Year in 2017, he is very active in mentoring young designers and students. Brian studied design at the world-renowned Center for Creative Studies, and received his bachelor's from Purdue. He has worked with many high-profile brands including Coca-Cola, Intel, Best Buy, Home Depot, FedEx, Anheuser Busch, Michelin, Volvo, & The Atlanta Braves.
