Québec City Convention Centre
Québec City is renowned for its European-style charm and rich cultural heritage. The 300,000-square-foot Québec City Convention Centre is conveniently located in the heart of downtown, making it a delightful destination for meetings and conventions hosting up to 9,000 attendees. Completed in 1996 and renovated in 2014, the LEED Silver-certified
facility boasts a trio of exhibition halls totaling 134,500 square feet. Plus, 38 meeting rooms and nearly 80,000 square feet of pre-function space can acccommodate networking functions and breakout sessions. An outdoor terrace offers grand views of Old Québec, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its famed Citadel overlooking the St. Lawrence River.
WHERE TO SLEEP
With more than 1,000 rooms within walking distance and 20 hotels within 3 miles of the venue, finding affordable lodging is no problem. It doesn't get more convenient than staying at the attached Sheraton. Or consider the Courtyard by Marriott or Hilton Garden Inn, both of which are a stone's throw from the convention center.
WHAT TO EAT
While there are currently no food options inside the venue, there are dozens of restaurants just steps away. No visit is complete without noshing on some French-Canadian outine, so head over to Snack Bar Saint-Jean for lunch. If you need to dazzle clients, Chez Boulay offers exquisite fare and private dining for up to 110 guests.
HOW TO GET THERE
The convention center is roughly 20 minutes from the Jean Lesage International Airport by car. Cab fare for the trip is about $35. Ridesharing through Uber and Eva is also available. A pedestrian tunnel links the venue to four underground parking lots with 4,175 spaces ranging from $12 to $25 per day. Québec City's public transit system offers unlimited bus rides for $8.85 per day. Capital HRS is the exclusive food and beverage provider. The convention center has two loading areas. The level-one loading dock can handle three vehicles at once and requires using a freight elevator operated by a venue employee. The level-four dock can accommodate up to seven vehicles. Exhibitor employees arriving with their own vehicles may transport freight using four-wheeled dollies provided by the venue. Booths capable of accommodating more than 60 individuals at once must have at least two exits. Free 15 mbps internet with unlimited data is available throughout the venue. Encore Canada is the preferred supplier of AV services and IT rentals. The convention center does not have on-site printing services. Exhibitors' music, demos, and in-booth activities may not exceed 70 decibels when measured four feet from the source. Vehicles displayed inside exhibits must have less than one-quarter of a tank of fuel, their batteries disconnected, and their gas tanks locked.
