Industrial Chic
The phrase "what's old is new again" is particularly true when it comes to design, and the latest trend to circle back is endearingly referred to as "industrial chic." Whether this rugged aesthetic is an anti-trend spurred by one too many Apple Store-inspired spaces or an earthy answer to our otherwise digitized existence, the imperfections of these faux-old furnishings are breathing new life into dated exhibits. Provider: Cort Event Furnishings, www.cortevents.com Parlor Canopy It's not every day you see a parlor canopy in an exhibit, but this one from Blueprint Studios can be used as a reception desk or conference table. Featuring a copper frame, the piece includes its own built-in illumination by way of four decanters outfitted with Edison bulbs. It pairs seamlessly with other pieces in the Museo line from Blueprint Studios.
