Ever since the word "rent" first appeared in 12th century England, the term has often been synonymous with everything from tacky to trashy. But it shouldn't be. Today you can rent desert islands, Prada handbags, French chateaus – even extraordinary exhibits. Surprised? You won't be after you take this month's quiz and try to decipher which booths are rentals and which are custom builds. By Charles Pappas

6. Unirac Inc.'s double-deck booth featured product displays made from the structural-steel frames it uses to manufacture solar-panel mounts.

7. Nexen Tire Corp. hit the road with a 50-by-50-foot double-deck booth whose silicone-edge graphics fuel-injected the booth with the powerful look of a muscle car.
