Davos Attendee Brings Good News to ECEF 2025
3/3/2025
ARLINGTON, VA - The news is in from the world's most exclusive gathering of political, business, and thought leaders, and it looks good for exhibition and convention organizers.

Dr. Charlotte M. Farmer, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, UL Research Institutes, is a regular at the World Economic Forum, better known as Davos. She will bring the good news to more than 200 executives attending the Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF) on May 28 in Washington D.C.

Sam Lippman, President, Lippman Connects, producer of ECEF, said, "Dr. Farmer will explain how the Davos paradigm that values conversations sparked, partnerships formed, and progress achieved can be applied to any B2B event. Davos organizers measure success in engagement, not by crowd size or press coverage. That metric is always going to be a winner for our industry."

Dr. Farmer's presentation, Good News from Davos for Your Show, will delve into how purposeful design created spaces that encouraged openness, innovation, and partnership. The ECEF audience will learn how seamless logistics orchestrated a flawless experience despite enhanced security measures. In addition, Dr. Farmer will provide first-hand examples of how Davos fostered a sense of community and exclusivity.

To date, the ECEF 2025 Program also features these presentations:
  • KEYNOTE: Pivot or Die: How to Navigate in a Changing Environment - Gary Shapiro, CEO, Consumer Technology Association, delivers insights on business flexibility from multiple perspectives. First and foremost, as the visionary who has led the Consumer Electronics Show to continuous unparalleled growth. And, as a close observer of the technology CEOs who lead CTA and increasingly other sectors of society.
  • Will Rising Exhibitor Costs Backfire? - Jeannie Henson, Director, Exhibit Management, Siemens Healthineers and Julie Kagy, Executive Director, ESCA: Exhibition Services & Contractors Association
