MOBILE, AL – Oak View Group, operators of The Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center and the Mobile Saenger Theatre, today names Renee’ Browning, a well-experienced industry veteran and a former executive at the Mobile Civic Center, as the facilities’ new General Manager. “Renee’ is an incredibly talented leader who knows this market, knows these properties, and will help the City continue to elevate Mobile as one of the premier destinations in the country,” said Greg O’Dell, President, Venue Management, Oak View Group. “Since taking over operations of these terrific properties on June 1, we have been working diligently to find new and exciting opportunities for the region. Renee’ is the ideal leader to realize our vision for these buildings.” Browning will lead Oak View Group’s unwavering commitment to further enhancing operations and the guest experience at both venues, and the soon-to-be-built arena, and generating new and exciting opportunities to attract premier events and fostering renewed connections to the Mobile community. This experience positions her well to lead Oak View Group's collective efforts at these iconic venues into the future, fostering renewed connections and opportunities for the Mobile community. Browning brings a proven track record of success to her new role in Mobile. Before joining Oak View Group in Mobile, she was Assistant General Manager for the Broward Convention Center, where she spearheaded a $1.4 billion expansion project from conception to near completion, all while ensuring seamless business operations. Having previously served as Regional Director of Sales at the Mobile Convention Center for 13 years, Browning brings a wealth of experience and leadership back to the region. Her deep ties to the Mobile community, combined with her extensive background in event management, make her the ideal candidate to lead Oak View Group’s collective efforts at these iconic venues into the future. “This experience has honed my ability to manage large-scale projects from inception through execution,” said Browning. “I am eager to elevate the facilities to new heights and continue fostering the trusted relationship with one of Mobile’s most cherished traditions – Mardi Gras. Oak View Group’s commitment to these facilities and the Mobile community is unwavering, and we look forward to the journey ahead.” About Oak View Group Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in live experience venue development, management, premium hospitality services, and 360-degree solutions for a collection of world-class owned venues and a client roster of arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions.
