Kentucky Venues Announces Paul Herberg as Executive Director of Human Resources
8/2/2024
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Kentucky Venues announced the return of Paul Herberg as the executive director of human resources at Kentucky Venues. Herberg will oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the department at both Kentucky Venues properties -- the Kentucky Exposition Center and Kentucky International Convention Center. “It is a privilege to work alongside everyone within the Kentucky Venues team and support the success of our shows and events at both properties,” said Paul Herberg, Executive Director of Human Resources. “We have a wonderful HR staff and talented team members at our properties who are excited for the future. I am truly humbled and honored to once again serve in this role.” Herberg brings more than two decades of experience in human resources within the public sector to the Kentucky Venues team. Shortly after retiring from Kentucky Venues in 2019, he felt the call to return to public service by supporting the United States Census Bureau and the Kentucky Department of Parks in various roles. In 2021, Herberg rejoined the Kentucky Venues team and most recently served as the acting executive director of human resources. “Paul’s passion for people and process was evident from the time I began at Kentucky Venues. We wished him well when he retired in 2019 and now celebrate his return to this leadership role as we look ahead to significant growth and positive change within our agency,” said David S. Beck, President and CEO of Kentucky Venues. Kentucky Venues is currently hiring hundreds of team members ahead of the Kentucky State Fair and World’s Championship Horse Show this August, which anticipates welcoming up to 600,000 fairgoers.
