Visit Plano Announces New Appointments and Organizational Restructure
6/10/2024
PLANO, TX - Visit Plano announced today the appointment of Millerann Moya to Assistant Director and Alysha Carse as Director of Sales. ![]() ![]() “I am thrilled to announce the appointments of these two team members, said Mark Thompson, Visit Plano Director. “Their dedication, innovation, and unwavering devotion to excellence have significantly contributed to our success. These appointments not only recognize their outstanding achievements, but also reflect our continued growth and our commitment to nurturing talent within our organization.” About Visit Plano As the official destination marketing organization (DM0) for Plano, Texas, Visit Plano is responsible for promoting the city as a premier meetings, convention, group, sports and leisure tourism destination. While a Chamber of Commerce promotes individual businesses, Visit Plano is charged with marketing the city as a whole to the outside world. To do this, Visit Plano uses targeted communications to attract groups and individual travelers for overnight hotel stays and to boost direct spending in Plano, ultimately increasing overall revenue. A robust visitor economy has multiple benefits. During the 2022-23 fiscal year, Plano brought in $3.7 million overnight visitors. Not only did they spend their money in our hotels (generating hotel occupancy taxes that fund the DMO’s efforts), but they also frequented Plano restaurants, shops, attractions and many other businesses. Overall, in 2023, visitor spending generated more than $962,554,296 and supported some 8,000 local hospitality industry jobs. www.visitplano.com Contact: questions@exhibitormagazine.com |
