Iguana Group Introduces VX2 Virtual Xhibition Xperience

Iguana Group are a creative agency based in Wychbold, Worcestershire. Established in 1993, we have focused on end-to-end exhibition stand design and delivery for our clients, working at exhibitions and events around the world. Our established clientbase is a testament to our ideals of creativity, high-end delivery and world class customer service.

Given the onset of COVID-19, and the subsequent cancellation of all tradeshows for the immediate future, Iguana Group has combined our deep understanding of our clients’ products and/or services with a unique expertise in users experience to deliver a new type of event.

Introducing the Virtual Xhibition Xperience, or VX2. Other agencies have been developing intricate online event experiences, but many of them are only in the experimental or conceptual stages and will take time to bring to market. VX2 is based on established, proven technologies that are cost-effective and quick to implement.

Ultimately, the proof is in the pudding, and in the case of VX2 that proof is the successful go-live of a virtual event platform for long-term client Atlona.

Following the cancellation of the INFOCOMM 2020 trade show in Las Vegas this year, AV industry experts, Atlona, asked us to look at the option of a brand-specific virtual event in its place. Time was short (less than 6 weeks), so we knew we were up against it. Despite the time constraints, we successfully went live with AtlonaComm2020 on June 1st 2020.

AtlonaComm2020 is hosted on an independent website. The site includes embedded content, live streaming events, on demand webinars and a facility for booking meetings with Altona representatives online.

The star of the show is the virtual booth tour. Users experience a fully immersive walkthrough of the stand, followed by the freedom to explore individual product and/or service offerings in detail.

A simple but highly flexible hotspot system allows the user to explore a wide range of media including graphical, video and PDF content. The technology also allows users to share content in a quick and easy manner.

Finally, all of this is underpinned by established analytics technology, allowing the “exhibitor” to track relevant statistics regarding usage of the booth areas.
