      Child's Play
It's one thing to put an exhibitor's products center stage, but it's quite another to turn a client's plastic cups and rubber ducks into interactive art installations. Yet that's what designers at Unrivaled Inc. achieved with this stand for Munchkin Inc. Debuting at Kind and Jugend, the exhibit won over attendees and jurors alike, the latter of which called it "highly functional yet deliciously artistic" and deemed it worthy of the competition's top honor, the EDGE Award (for Exhibit Design and Graphic Excellence).
      Ground Control
Throughout the space, flooring did double duty as a wayfinding device and messaging medium. Orange carpet led visitors to the reception desk, and gray stripes guided them to photo-op installations, where text embedded in the pile prompted visitors to share their pics using specific hashtags.
Along with introducing an updated logo, stand directives included immortalizing the products and somehow encompassing the company's mission to embrace diversity and create a loving world. To those ends, designers debuted a new palette via vibrant murals, crafted by renowned graffiti artist Carson Ting, on the exterior. Upon entering the space, visitors discovered 50-foot hallways showcasing products placed atop shelves that appeared to levitate thanks to backlighting. Behind them, multilingual panels offered an inspiring message about children and love. "The whole theme of the exhibit was love," said designer Mike Porcelli. "We needed to make that connection to the product areas."

At the end of the hallways, visitors encountered two distinctive art installations that also employed the new palette. On the left, pink and orange Miracle 360 cups formed a backdrop for a colossal wave of blue cups. A surfboard near its crest offered a photo op amid the 7,000 containers. In the stand's opposing corner, designers covered the walls with 4,000 rubber ducks. Here, attendees could crawl inside a clawfoot tub for additional selfies.

Finally, attendees made their way to the cafe in the center of the stand, where ample seating provided optimal viewing of a 12-foot-tall, heart-shaped video wall showing dynamic promotional content. Despite the baby products, it's clear this exhibit wasn't kidding around. E
