Elevation3D Helps Outfit Essential Businesses
When many essential businesses needed quick and innovative solutions to combat the spread of the coronavirus in their workplaces, Elevation3D rapidly stepped in and started making a difference. Images by Elevation3D
It's not just hospitals and medical facilities that need to acquire protective equipment. Grocery stores, gas stations, and other essential businesses are looking for ways to protect their employees and customers. In a pivot from its traditional role as a trade show exhibit producer, Elevation3D, with facilities in Las Vegas and Boston, is outfitting many of those workplaces with protective solutions as it contributes to the fight against the coronavirus.

"Once we saw the need, we began developing protective barriers," says executive vice president Adam Karns.
"Once we saw the need, we began developing protective barriers, many of which are used at the point of sales in pharmacies, gas stations, and grocery stores," said Adam Karns, executive vice president at Elevation3D. And the company has already deployed those solutions to about 50 locations in the Northeast, with more orders continuing to roll in. In addition to that, Elevation3D is working with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Medicine to outfit about a dozen of its buildings with the critical acrylic barriers. "Our expertise is specifically related to temporary, efficient, and reliable structures that are able to be installed quickly," Karns said. "It's the exact sort of experience that is necessary while working in these nontraditional settings."

In addition to the protective barriers, Elevation3D is developing prototypes of drive-thru testing clinics and patient-care units that can be quickly deployed wherever there's a need. "Elevation3D owns one of the largest inventories of modular aluminum-framed wall systems, which allows us to rapidly deliver and set up temporary facilities such as testing sites and field clinics, among others," Karns said. "Our workforce is well equipped to handle the planning and logistics necessary to successfully address these needs."

And like many companies in the hard-hit industry, Elevation3D is eager to help out, which also means being able to keep its workforce employed. "Our team is strong and happy to lend a hand during the current crisis," said Karns. "They have really stepped up to the challenge and engineered strategic and innovative solutions to help us be effective contributors."
