When exhibiting outdoors, even a gentle breeze can blow a banner stand to the ground, and a strong gust of wind can be enough to tear one apart. For those unpredictable outdoor situations, the Four Season Glider Display can be just the tool you need to keep those banners upright. It features a ballast base that can be filled with water or sand, adding upwards of 30 pounds of stability to the frame. Two support arms from a telescoping center pole attach to the top corners of the banner via hooks and grommets. An adjustable rail tethered to the base by a flexible cable clamps to the bottom of the banner. That cable is attached to a slider within the unit's base that allows the banner to pivot slightly to the left and right when the wind hits it, easing pressure against the solid surface to help prevent the structure from tipping over. The frame will support single-sided banners from 24 to 40 inches wide and 60 to 78 inches tall. Contact: Custom Pop Displays Inc., Shawnee, KS, 844-723-1237, www.custompopdisplays.com
Dancing Machine
Green screens have made all sorts of trade show traffic builders possible. But Dance Heads Inc. has taken green screens a step farther by putting up to three attendees at a time into a lip-sync music video where animated bodies of professional dancers gyrate to the beat. To make a video, booth visitors are seated on a small green-screen set, and capes are wrapped around their shoulders, leaving only their heads exposed. They can choose from a library of songs, and when the music starts, attendees move their lips while computer animation does the rest. On a monitor, the green surfaces turn into sets that range from a barnyard to a Paris street, and dancing bodies perform choreography to correlate with the setting and the song. The Path to Success
Gather leads without renting expensive scanners when you use Pathable, a conference and event app that has a badge-scanning feature built in. It processes bar codes and Quick Response (QR) codes to collect information about attendees and check them into workshops, and it exports the results to Excel for follow-up analytics. Leads are displayed on a dashboard where pertinent information is shown next to a head shot or other identifying data about the lead. Pathable also features a networking platform, a meeting scheduler, interactive maps and surveys, and compatibility across various devices.
