The 12th Annual ASSEMBLY Show Brings Together 4,300+ Manufacturing Industry Professionals

ROSEMONT, IL – The 12th Annual ASSEMBLY Show wrapped up last week at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL with over 4,300 manufacturing professionals visiting with 200 exhibiting companies, learning from dozens of subject matter experts and networking with colleagues. The trade show and conference was co-located with SMTA International and provided a platform for top players in the industry to showcase advancements in assembly technology and automation. “THE ASSEMBLY Show 2024 successfully delivered on its promise of driving innovation, networking, and growth in the assembly industry. The event highlighted the rapid pace of technological advancement and reinforced the importance of maintaining a competitive edge in today’s global marketplace,” said Bill DeYoe publisher of ASSEMBLY Magazine. “One of the most anticipated aspects of THE ASSEMBLY Show was the series of live product demonstrations. Companies like Promess, ASG, Schmidt Technology and Ujigami demonstrated real-world applications of their assembly solutions, showcasing advancements in robotics, automation, adhesives, and other assembly-related technologies displayed the latest tools and services designed to streamline production processes and improve efficiency.” On Tuesday, October 22nd hundreds of engineers participated in 20 pre-conference workshops. Subject matter experts led sessions in three tracks including Advancements in Automation and Automated Assembly; Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, and C-Suite Topics; and Bolted Joint and Threaded Fastener Assembly. Prior to the keynote on Wednesday morning, Austin Weber, Senior Editor of ASSEMBLY Magazine presented the Plant of the Year Award to GE Appliances who mass-produces dishwashers at a sprawling factory in Louisville, KY. Today, the 1-million-square-foot facility produces more than 70 dishwasher models. During the keynote presentation best-selling author Jairek Robbins discussed Crafting the Future: Leadership and Legacy in the Manufacturing Industry to a packed audience. Jairek provided an inspiring discussion on the power of proactive leadership in shaping the future of manufacturing. Leadership isn’t just a title—it’s about active participation, strategic vision, and fostering growth. Jairek was featured on The ASSEMBLY Magazine Podcast where he spoke about Leading Up: Shaping the Future of Manufacturing ahead of his presentation. On the final morning of the event John Sprovieri, Editor in Chief of ASSEMBLY Magazine announced the winners of the New Products Award.
