Ulysses Veloso brings a unique blend of artistry and technical expertise to ASTOUND. With a master’s degree in fine arts and a bachelor’s degree in sculpture and education, his career spans across 14 major solo shows and 24 group exhibitions in prominent museums, galleries, and alternative art spaces. Ulysses is renowned for his ability to transform surreal and scientific concepts into powerful artistic experiences, a philosophy he calls “Abstract Existentialism.” His work is a testament to his passion for exploring new materials and techniques, blending them with both theoretical aesthetics and a critical awareness of nature’s fundamental laws. Ulysses’ portfolio includes an impressive array of commissioned works in both local and international art markets, as well as pivotal projects at ASTOUND such as hand-carved dinosaurs, intricate faux paintings, and the iconic Budweiser Stage with rocks seemingly emerging from the ground. “Ulysses Veloso’s relocation to Las Vegas marks a significant enhancement to our scenic fabrication capabilities," said Dale Morgan, Founder and CEO of ASTOUND.
