Brandstand America to Focus on Branded PPE Made from 100% Recycled Fabric

Brandstand America, based in Florida, was recently ranked in the prestigious Inc 5000 list of fastest growing companies in the United States. They are a renowned provider of banners, portable displays and other visual marketing products for trade shows and corporate events. But with events cancelled and convention centers turned into hospitals, their business came to a halt. In an effort to reinvent themselves, and committed to avoid layoffs, they are now producing personal protective equipment made from their exclusive ONE PLANET Fabric. This unique textile is made in America from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.

Brandstand America has already recycled more than 1.5 million of plastic bottles in just the last semester, and is looking to continue the trend with their new branded solutions for personal protection and social distancing.

When the Covid-19 emergency unfolded, the company first focused their efforts on providing free personal protection equipment for first responders. They donated thousands of face covers to medical schools, doctor’s offices, nursing homes, and essential city employees. Since their industrial printers cannot stay idle for long periods of time, they decided to print the donated masks with the recipient’s names or logos. The feedback received was outstanding, and word of mouth became a large referral to other organizations. Consequently a new product line was released to address the requirements of other businesses as the CDC released their recommendation on face covers.

In addition to being washable and reusable, Brandstand’s face covers are completely branded, so businesses can protect their employees while presenting a professional corporate identity. They can be printed with any design, in full color, for a truly personalized option. Special attention was dedicated to creating a comfortable design that could be worn all day, with adjustable Velcro straps that won’t hurt ears. One Planet fabric’s construction provides for an excellent barrier, while allowing a comfortable soft surface for the user.

Continuing with their focus on public health, the company released two additional product lines. Waveline Hand Sanitizer Stations include everything needed to setup a sanitizing kiosk in less than five minutes: an aluminum banner frame with double-sided graphics, an automatic touch-free dispenser, and a 32 oz bottle of USP grade liquid hand sanitizer. Brandstand’s design team focused on creating a product that was not only functional but also attractive. “One of the challenges our customers had was improving visibility to their dispenser, such a small device, when it is imperative that everyone has quick access” explained Maria Daza, VP of Sales & Marketing. “They didn’t want to compromise with a little sign over a traditional Purell stand, which were completely sold out anyhow. So we set out to convert our best-selling Waveline Banners into the perfect solution, an opportunity for brands to communicate their commitment to safety in a professional way.” The company is also providing the liquid sanitizer, recognizing how difficult it is to source right now. “It’s a truly all-in-one solution, we even included the batteries” commented Ms. Daza.

The third addition to the company’s catalog is Waveline Office Partitions. Understanding the social distancing requirements of the “new normal” in the workplace, Brandstand has released a completely new collection of their Waveline tension fabric panels. “We were redoing the layout of our production team to align with distancing requirements and we found ourselves repurposing our tube system in new sizes to separate our sewing operators. We figured this was going to be a real need for most work environments, so our team created new sizes and options to fit this market”, notes Ms. Daza. Waveline Office Partitions were sized to fit popular desk configurations, and include clamps and accessories to connect them together. Graphic options include flat colors and natural textures, to avoid the need for expenditures in graphic design, although full color custom printing remains an option. More importantly, they also feature the exclusive One Planet Fabric, which will align with corporate commitments to environmental protection.

These branded personal protection solutions empower the user, not only with the protection they need in this pandemic, but also with the knowledge that their company is investing in their wellbeing. They support sustainable efforts to preserve our environment, recycling thousands of plastic bottles. And they support the local economy, since Brandstand’s products are made in Florida.
