Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau Welcomes Katie Arvia as Communications Manager

The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau has hired Katie Arvia as the new Communications Manager. 
Arvia joins the CVB team with several years of writing experience, gained from working as a freelance reporter with The Lansing Journal and serving as the Senior News Editor of her college newspaper, The Xavierite, at Saint Xavier University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree.
In addition to her writing skills, Arvia also brings marketing and design skills, which will be beneficial to the Bureau’s mission of promoting the Chicago Southland. “I am looking forward to working with the incredibly talented staff here at the CVB,” Arvia said. “I take great pride in the Chicago Southland, and I am excited to help promote all of the amazing things we have to offer!” “I was impressed the first time I met Katie. She’s extremely talented, and her enthusiasm and passion to join our team was obvious,” said President/CEO Jim Garrett of the Chicago Southland CVB. “I think Katie will make an excellent employee and will certainly contribute to the long-range objectives of the Bureau.” The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official destination management and marketing organization for Chicago’s 63 south and southwest suburbs.
