Sustainability - from Buzz Word to Culture
Sustainability is not just about environmental impacts. It is a combination of:
1. Climate Actions - (carbon emissions/shrinking our footprint, local sourcing, circularity, renewable materials, recycled plastic and recycled metals, decarbonizing our supply chain, addressing the fiber used in printing and packaging by investing in forest restoration and protection, etc.)
2. Human Rights - creation of a powerful culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. Developing skills across the event industry labor eco-systems, creating the power of inclusion, and belonging
3. Community - bringing awareness to the issues in the communities that we host events.
As we continue to go back to F2F meetings - it is time for us to make individual choices that:
• Reduce the environmental impact
• Create a powerful culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Help us partner with the communities in which we host events

Glenda Brungardt, CTSM Diamond, consultant, GBrungardt Events
After 46 years at HP, Brungardt recently retired and is transistioning from full-time to working as a consultant. At HP she spent over 30+ years managing tradeshows/events where she delivered consistent brand, messaging, experiences, and execution of tradeshows/events. She will continue to be a contributor in the events industry - teaching/presenting at various conferences, serving on conference advisory board for EXHIBITORLIVE, the EDPA exhibitor committee, and The Exhibitor Advocate board - advocating for exhibitors!
