Slovenia is a land of many natural resources and one of the most water-rich European countries. It boasts exceptionally high-quality drinking water, numerous forests, and quality wood. The country’s natural resources and its people’s sincere attitude toward others and nature were the guiding principles in creating a sustainable concept for the Slovenia Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai. The Slovenia Pavilion is designed as a meeting point for people and business visitors. And, with its presentation and business concepts, the pavilion enables the establishment of genuine links and opportunities for cooperation.
The pavilion itself is a floating green oasis that inspires sustainable solutions. Under the theme of “Slovenia: Green and Smart Experience,” it enables guests to experience stories about the unique interplay of pristine nature, knowledge, innovation, and breakthrough business. Highlights include the green oasis itself, and inspiring sustainable examples from the Slovenian business world. The pavilion also features a 360-degree projection of the Slovenian landscape, with an emphasis on the country’s innovations, as well as famous Slovenians and their achievements.
Thematic sections of the Slovenia Pavilion include climate and biodiversity; space; urban/rural development and smart buildings; factories of the future and material development; digitization and artificial intelligence; travel, networking, and mobility; sustainable development, green technologies, and wood; health and well-being; food and agriculture; cultural and creative industries; and water.
Throughout their visit, Expo 2020 attendees are taught that in Slovenia, we learn from nature, we are inspired by the best, we respect our heritage, we understand the future, we encourage innovation, and we connect people. Slovenia is the green heart of Europe, with the creative people and smart ideas for the future of us all. This is the message conveyed by Slovenia at the world’s biggest event, Expo 2020.
