Foolproof Fabric Graphics
Silicone-edged fabric graphics can be a headache to install on a frame because the wrong amount of tension can leave a display wall looking like a puckered mess. But Expolinc Fabric System makes the process a little more foolproof with its patented spring-loaded frame that provides just the right amount of tension on a fabric panel. Silicone-edging strips are sewn onto the top and bottom edges of the graphics only, which reduces fit-related issues and allows the panels to be applied to the extrusion in a way that makes the unit look completely frameless. Walls, which can be easily installed by one person, can extend 4 to 10 feet tall and a virtually unlimited number of feet long when frame units are used together. Sign Me Up
Small tabletop signs sprinkled around an exhibit can add a lot of visibility for your message, but folded card stock looks cheap and is easily damaged. SnapSign from Consort Corp. can add style and durability to that signage, protecting paper inside of a 4.5-by-12-inch polycarbonate shell. Messages can be printed on a sheet of 8.5-by-11-inch paper, which is then folded in half and slipped into the shell. A base that snaps on and off provides stability to the unit. The product also includes a wall-mount hook that allows you to suspend the sign on a vertical surface instead. Contact: Consort Corp., Kalamazoo, MI, 800-525-6424, www.consort.com
Mr. Roboto
Interactive product displays take on new dimensions when you have miniature robots carrying out attendee commands. Whether you're inviting booth visitors to unlock product info via an interactive activity or compete alongside peers in a tabletop, traffic-building game, GWF Associates LLC's 3D Printed Robots Program can amp up the interest factor. The program uses tiny robots cloaked in 3-D-printed housing designs that attendees can control with movements of an iPad. Alternately, robots can be programmed to respond to designs drawn on a touchscreen with a fingertip, allowing attendees to move the device around an interactive surface to programmed hot spots where additional information is automated to open. Exhibitors can customize housings to any shapes they want thanks to the versatility of 3-D-printing technology, and the product can be scaled for a variety of touchscreen-monitor or projection-table sizes. Larger-than-Life Legos
Exhibitors who love the flexibility and modularity of system exhibitry will go wild over EverBlock Systems, a modular building-block product that resembles Legos for grown-ups. The product offers the freedom to construct walls or exhibit components such as pillars, platforms, benches, or podiums using blocks that are available in 15 standard colors and 12-, 6-, and 3-inch sizes. Each block contains a channel for wire management, and powder-coated shelving and desk tops, connector clips, hanging clips, metal base plates and feet, and reinforcement rods for support are available. Comprising a high-impact polypropylene co-polymer, EverBlocks require no tools for assembly, and they can be taken apart and reconfigured endlessly. The blocks can be used indoors and out, and the product can be rented or purchased. Contact: EverBlock Systems LLC, New York, 844-422-5625, www.everblocksystems.com

Content via Calendars
Handing out branded calendars as promotional gifts might sound uninspired, but video calendars from IKYP Line are giving that moth-eaten idea a whole new appeal. Each unit is a desktop-sized flip calendar with a 4- or 5-inch LCD screen that has 800-by-480 pixels and 1 gigabyte of memory attached. Each month is on its own page, and light-sensing technology causes a new video to play on the screen when a page is turned, providing an entire year's worth of marketing opportunities. Integrated speaker holes allow crystal clear sound, and videos can be up to two minutes long. Calendars come with a rechargeable lithium battery, speakers, a volume-control wheel, and a video replay button, and deluxe models include an AC adapter for continuous play and an optional slide show or screen saver mode. Calendar pages are crafted in high-quality CMYK printing. Contact: IKYP Line, West Palm Beach, FL, 561-963-0093, www.ikyp.com
Faux Finish
Reclaimed wood is all the rage, but sourcing weathered wood for exhibits can be time consuming and expensive. Texture Plus has a versatile stunt double – faux wood panels made of polymer urethane. Sections come in 2-by-4-foot pieces that can be drilled and sawed just like real timbers. The panels are available in brown, weathered, and gray finishes.
