Opus Agency Adds Dana Larson as VP of Content Strategy

Highlighting the agency’s expansion into content strategy as a dedicated service offering, Opus is pleased to announce the addition of Dana Larson in the new role of Vice President of Content Strategy.

Dana Larson Drawing on more than 20 years of content and marketing experience, Larson will be responsible for developing digital and content marketing strategies, enabling Opus clients to extend their conversations with end users beyond events themselves. Leading industry studies identify events and content marketing as key resource focus areas of CMOs and other decision-makers, and Opus is well positioned to combine these offerings in a strategic fashion.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to grow a content practice—something I’ve done at my last two agencies—in the dynamic world of event marketing,” said Larson. “Opus has an impressive vision for the future, with a plan for growth fueled by customer success. Larson has been connecting people with content they care about for more than 20 years. In that time, she has served as award-winning copywriter and creative director; leader of a successful Portland, Oregon-area advertising agency; and architect behind thriving content strategy practices at two leading San Francisco Bay Area digital firms, most recently at Extractable, where she served as VP of Content.

A highly regarded thought leader in the world of content marketing, Larson has written articles on content strategy and marketing that have moved industry players into taking sides and taking action. She has spoken at key industry events, including the Gilbane Conference, and for corporate-wide marketing events for industry leaders such as McKesson. Delivering winning content strategies for clients such as Energy Upgrade California, Farmers Insurance, Johnson & Johnson, Stanford Health Care, Verizon Wireless, Wells Fargo, Visa, and many others continues to fuel her passion.

Currently based in the Bay Area, Larson will soon return to her roots in the Pacific Northwest, where she studied English at Clark College and graduated from the International Air Academy, both in Vancouver, WA. When not crafting brilliant content strategies, she can be found spending time with her family, typically hiking, biking, swimming, horseback riding, walking a German shorthaired pointer named Scout, or traveling anywhere with warm sun and a sandy beach.
