Hill & Partners Expands Global Footprint with Overlapping Branding Projects in Germany and Norway
8/27/2015
Hill & Partners’ team of branded environment specialists are coming off a busy travel schedule with overlapping trade show exhibits in June designed on behalf of new client, Elkhart Brass in Hannover, Germany and longtime client, IGT (formerly GTECH) in Oslo, Norway.

Hill & Partners was tasked with designing two unique exhibits in two independent industries, Gaming and Fire, simultaneously, in different European countries.

photo “Designing and executing major trade show exhibits at the same time, overseas, is a welcomed challenge and a task our team has ample experience in successfully carrying out over our 20 year existence,” said Hill & Partners President, Michael McMahon. “It’s a great testament to the skill of our entire team to have successfully executed the show objectives of one of our oldest clients and newest coincidently, thousands of miles from home.”

Elkhart Brass kicked off its relationship with Hill & Partners at the Interschutz show in Hannover, Germany. Interschutz is one of the world’s largest trade shows featuring the Industrial/Refineries and Fire Truck Manufacturing markets.

Elkhart Brass desired a space design creating an undeniable draw with guests to showcase the company as a global solutions-based provider and also to display its rich company history. Hill & Partners incorporated innovative technology and graphics in place of the actual Elkhart Brass product due to the extreme difficulty in shipping a product of its size.

Hill & Partners used an 11 pipe detail throughout the exhibit to tell the story of Elkhart Brass’ feature product - a fully automated firefighting system installed in large facilities, which was too large to bring to the show. Hill & Partners utilized a touch screen monitor that provided attendees a deeper dive into the product. The choice to use 11 pipes was originated in Elkhart Brass’ 11 years of industry excellence. The result was a space that represented both the company’s rich history and its current strides in innovative technology.

International Game Technology (IGT), a client since 1996 and formerly known as GTECH, aimed to recreate a similar showcase to its 2014 World Lottery (Rome) and National Association of State and Provincial Lotteries booths, at the recent European Lottery Show in Oslo, Norway. IGT’s overall objective was to continue the family of architecture and branding of its previous exhibits starting from their 2013 NASPL exhibit. IGT wanted to show as much product as possible in the booth, while having an overhead presence despite regulations against hanging materials from the ceiling. IGT also desired excessive lighting throughout the space with a theatre area, lounge area and storage space in the back of the booth.

Hill & Partners’ design maximized the 900 sq. ft. by utilizing the full vertical height of the space. The facility could not accommodate overhead rigging, but the Hill & Partners team designed a pipe network to support two 30’ x 10’ canopies to drape in the 20’ of vertical space. A reception counter, full bar and storage room was also included in an all-white aesthetic for a clean look. Accents of woods and colors, the use of angles and rounded edges, and strategic integration of exhibit lighting created an end result of a sophisticated yet dynamic environment for IGT.
