Octanorm Heads to Expo 2010 in Shanghai

On July 15, representatives from Octanorm Australia joined more than 150 leaders from the exhibition, shopfitting, and display industries amid the hustle and bustle of Shanghai for the 13th Octanorm Service Partner International (OSPI) Meeting.

CEO Bruce Rayment and National Sales Manager Bill Bell will meet with delegates from 36 countries at the triennial gathering of the OSPI network from July 16 through July 26.

Mr. Rayment said the meeting represented an opportunity to discuss upcoming trends, capabilities, and supplies for the world’s exhibition, shopfitting, and display industries.

“Octanorm Australia has grown to become the leading supplier of aluminum system components to Australia’s exhibition, display, and shopfitting industries and the OSPI Meeting is a perfect platform to exchange ideas and experiences and develop new business relationships with other industry leaders from around the globe,” said Mr. Rayment.

Established in 1982, the OSPI network has expanded to include more than 150 highly qualified service partners on five continents. The common link among them is the use of Octanorm exhibition and display systems.

With a motto of “designed here — built there,” OSPI was founded on the idea that an exhibit or display can be designed anywhere, and built by a service partner who may be on the other side of the world to eliminate the cost of shipping and storage.

The 13th OSPI Meeting coincides with the excitement of Expo 2010 in Shanghai, a six-month-long world expo combining cultural and artistic exhibitions, events, and forums that is expected to bring an estimated 70 million visitors to China’s largest city.

“It’s certainly an interesting time to be in Shanghai and somewhat appropriate that OSPI service partners meet to discuss future trends in the exhibition industry against a backdrop of the largest world exhibition in history,” said Mr. Rayment.
