VisitScotland Business Events Prepares for an Exciting Fall 2024 Lineup following IMEX

Following a successful show at IMEX America, VisitScotland Business Events (VSBE) is slated to partake in a dynamic schedule for Fall 2024, featuring some of the most prestigious international gatherings in the MICE industry, exemplifying Scotland's commitment to being a leading destination for business events. This will continue to firmly establish the destination as a leading MICE selection in 2025, attracting global conferences, corporate meetings, and incentive groups.

Regarded as the must-attend event of the year for networking and education, IMEX America was once again take place in Las Vegas, Nevada from October 8-10. VSBE welcomed roughly 300 planners and buyers throughout the event, offering the world’s leading experts in business events to connect with the VSBE team and key partners. Additionally VSBE and partners (2BUK, Limitless and Gleneagles) hosted a reception on October 9 highlighting Scottish hospitality, complete with whisky tasting and a bagpiper.

Euromic's inaugural Inspiration Summit will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland, from October 28-31. Euromic, a renowned non-profit association of 52 leading Destination Management Companies (DMCs), will host this exclusive, by-invitation-only event, bringing together around 50 MICE buyers from around the world and will feature a welcome reception, educational opportunities, a meeting component, a gala dinner, and immersive destination experiences. For a culturally immersive experience, attendees will have the chance to engage in activities such as archery, whisky tasting, and the Highland Games, offering a unique taste of Scotland's rich culture and heritage.

Sustainability is of the utmost importance in the planning and execution of this event Huw Tuckett, Executive Director of Euromic, shares, “Careful planning has gone into ensuring the event is sustainable as possible with careful consideration to using public transport wherever possible, local suppliers, food miles and use of CSR initiatives such as Invisible cities in the event programme. euromic is proud to be the first DMC association that has made having a sustainability certification a requirement of membership and partnered with Biosphere to get all its members committed and certified. This requires a certification that takes all the UN Sustainable Development Goals into consideration when issuing certifications. Prizes and attendee raffles will also be held with the proceeds donated to a local charity.”

The Global Incentive Summit, taking place from November 4-7, 2024, in Killarney, Ireland, will bring together top-tier incentive buyers and suppliers from around the world, offering an unparalleled opportunity for networking and showcasing Scotland's unique offerings in the incentive travel market.
