S7009 Half-Day Workshop & Authors Executive Series:
Craft Compelling Communication: Essential Techniques for Professional Business Writing
You bang away on the keyboard and hit send - then wonder why people are asking for clarification or additional information. This session will teach you how to communicate clearly and succinctly, no matter what you need to write. We'll examine and discuss examples, in both large and small groups. Learn to:
 •  Organize your thoughts before you start
 •  Use graphic elements to make your email more attractive
 •  Make the most of your opening three sentences
 •  Apply three techniques that journalists use to simply complex information
 •  Identify words and details that add nothing to your central idea
 •  Communicate with a professional tone
 •  Edit in a three-step process
CTSM Candidates with 5 or more years of experience may take this session in place of certain five-digit required sessions, with prior approval.
