Freeman Recognized with Well-Managed Award by Baylor Institute for Family Business

10/6/2011 - Freeman, the premier provider of integrated services for face-to-face marketing events, has been awarded the Well-Managed Award by the 2011 Texas Family Business of the Year Awards Program hosted by Baylor University’s Institute for Family Business.

Baylor University's Institute for Family Business recognizes family-owned companies that demonstrate a commitment to business continuity through its annual Texas Family Business of the Year Awards. Freeman was among the distinguished companies recognized for being responsive to the needs of their employees, communities and industries.

In its third generation of family management, Freeman continues to carry forward the entrepreneurial spirit of the company’s origin; it remains family-owned and customer-driven with a commitment to providing reliable, consistent and highly regarded products and services. Additionally, Freeman demonstrates commitment to employees through the Employee Stock Ownership program which is in its 30th year, making it one of the nation’s oldest and largest plans.

“Integrity has been the foundation of Freeman’s culture since my grandfather, Buck Freeman, founded this company in the 1920s, and it still is today,” said Carrie Freeman Parsons, Freeman’s Vice Chair and Baylor alumna. “We remain committed to the well-being of our employees, communities, industry and environment.”

The awards banquet will take place at the Baylor University campus in Waco, Texas on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011. A Family Business Forum from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. in the Bill Daniel Student Center at Baylor will precede the banquet.
