The Inside Track Educates Bemidji State University Students on the Impact of Flooring in Exhibit Design
Having worked in the trade show industry for 21 years as a leading provider of flooring to exhibit houses, Dave Sterne, Founder and CEO of The Inside Track, recently had the opportunity to share some of his knowledge with students in the design program at Bemidji State University.
By using a variety of custom printed vinyl and carpet samples, inlays, raised flooring and many other products, along with viewing photographs from the show floor, students had the opportunity to learn how flooring can interact with an exhibitor’s branding and messaging in the booth.
“By getting to interact with the students, answer their insightful questions and see some of the work they’ve done, it’s exciting to know that so many of these students will choose careers in the trade show industry” stated Sterne. With a 100% placement rate in the industry for students that study exhibit design, it’s obvious that the support is in place for their program, especially under the leadership of Bonnie Higgins, Interim Dean, College of Business, Technology and Communication and Sachel Josefson, Assistant Professor of Experiential Exhibit Design.
After having the opportunity to tour the campus and see first-hand where and how the learning takes place, Sterne’s message to other exhibit industry business owners and colleagues is to put Bemidji State University on their list of campuses to visit and support.
