Beyond the Booth: Cross-Functional Planning for Medical Conventions
This session is 45 minutes long and will end at 4:30 PM.

Convention planners who work for pharmaceutical companies have a role that extends far beyond their company's trade show booth. Medical conventions are multi-faceted and include educational components (both branded and unbranded) and scientific posters, as well as the exhibition floor. Learn to take the leadership position in planning your company's participation in these events by understanding the cast of stakeholders involved (sales, legal, compliance, medical affairs, stakeholder relations, professional advocacy, public relations, regulatory, CME education and others). You will:
•  Understand the roles and objectives of each stakeholder
•  Learn how to bring everyone together at the table

Diane E. Benson, CTSM Diamond, Americas Exhibits Leader, GE Healthcare. Diane's 25+ year career in event marketing spans both the exhibitor & supplier sides exhibits. Diane is Past President of HCEA & has just finished a three-year term as a member of EXHIBITOR's Editorial Advisory Board. One of the earliest CTSM's in the industry, Diane was awarded her Diamond upgrade in 2012, & is currently one of only 12 Diamond-level CTSM's in the world.

Cindy McCormick is a Global Convention Marketing Professional with more than twenty years' experience in global convention, meeting and event planning. She is an expert in helping companies find, define and maximize the value of their convention marketing channel. Currently head of Convention Marketing at Novo Nordisk, Cindy previously ran her own consulting firm working with several prominent companies in the pharma/biopharma space including Sanofi, Alexion, Dendreon and Leo Pharma.
